The Artists

Guy Forsyth is an Austin music legend who began his career playing blues in 1990. He has since become an internationally renown frontman, guitar-player, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, covering several genres. Guy has acted and appeared in several films, mastered several martial arts, and toured the world. He is cofounder of The Asylum Street Spankers and The Hot Nut Riveters, and currently leads the Guy Forsyth duo, trio and Blues Bands in shows all over the US and Europe. Guy describes himself as a “modern American Songster.” His powerful voice, diverse talents, affable personality, and all-original material are unparralleled.

Will Taylor is one of Austin's most innovative creatives. Genre-blending composer, multi-instrumentalist, classical string player, arranger, bandleader, sideman, and producer, Will has been a string player with orchestras all over Texas for more than thirty years. He's toured with Turtle Island String Quartet and his own groups. Via his project, Strings Attached, he has collaborated with: AJ Croce, Bob Schneider, Daniel Johnston, Dar Williams, Eliza Gilkyson, Gary Clark, Jr., James McMurtry, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Kat Edmonson, Kelly Willis, Pearl Jam, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Shawn Colvin, and Stephen Bruton, to name a few. Will has released three albums under his own name and ten albums as leader of Strings Attached. We are excited to partner with Will and his nonprofit Strings Attached Cares throughout this series.
